Located in South Mumbai, Worli is now a lavish luxurious residential investment destination for celebrities and super rich investors like Akshay Kumar, Virat Kohli and well-known business tycoons like Ajay Piramal, respectively. They are considering their second home in this suburb. JLL India, property consultant, has reported that Worli has witnessed big-ticket transactions, ranging from Rs. 20 Cr to Rs. 65 Cr. Over the past two to three years.

For the celebrities and ultra HNIs, Worli is the next lavish residential destination. Mumbai has always been the target of Who’s Who of India, according to Ashutosh Limaye, JLL India National Director. Worli has shown its growth as a leading residential development over the recent years with a lot of huge realty transactions took place. Last year, Virat Kohli, team India’s test captain, owned a lavish apartment worth Rs. 34 Cr in Omkar 1973. Earlier this year, Rohit Sharma also invested Rs. 30 Cr in Ahuja Towers.

Before Virat and Rohit, their teammate Yuvraj Singh also bought a property worth Rs. 64 Crore there. Even the industrialists are investing in Worli, along with these high profile cricketers, including Nandan Nilekani, Ajay Piramal, Narayana Murthy, Rizwan Koita (from Citius Tech), Babasaheb Kalyani (Bharat Forge’s chairman), Anil Agaral (Sterlite Group) and Siddharth Yog (Xander Group’s chairman). These people have either moved to Worli or invested there. This area has significantly created a buzz in real estate market as the prime suburb of South Mumbai.

The city planning of Mumbai allowed just a few areas to enjoy access to its sea shore. Worli truly enjoys great access to sea shore and it has become the platinum residential hub, especially because of the projects having sea-facing apartments.
