Marathon Realty is known to have rich and long history which dates back to 1922 when their patriarch developed the master plan for Mulund, a suburb spread over 550 acres. Initially, the company was founded by Ramniklal Shah in the year 1969, who have come a long way to develop commercial, residential, mixed, retail and township projects in Greater Mumbai. Ramniklal Z. Shah started the company in 1969 as a social organization and most of its operations were not for profit. Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar Teachers Housing Society was built by the developer in 1969 in Mulund on non-profit basis. He has deep involvement in the community and he was the president of Rotary Club in Mulund, SMPR High School and Jain Sangh.
He has deep feeling of social obligation and he has been inspired to lead several endeavors of community service, including rehabilitation of Bhujpur and Latur earthquake victims, allotting homes to the underprivileged at low cost, construction services to religious and educational institutions etc. He is also the committee member of the Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI). The visionary Vice Chairman, Mr. Chetan R. Shah is a B. Tech (Civil) from IIT Bombay and M.S. (Structural Engg.) in University of Houston, USA. He has over 30 years of real estate experience and he has keen eye in social affairs. He is the prime member of various social organizations and President at the Lion’s Club.
The Managing Director, Mayur R. Shah has Master’s in Structural and Civil engineering from USA as well as 25 years of construction and real estate development experience. He was the President of Rotaract Charitable Trust, Vice President at MCHI, Vice President at Jain Jagruti Sangh, and Chairman of MCHI real estate exhibitions. The developer has settled over 350 businesses, 400 retailers and over 5000 families in around 80 projects. The company has been serving the real estate market for around 46 years. By completing more than 80 projects, the developer has settled over 5000 happy families. Around 2 million sq. ft. of business landscapes and over 18 million sq. ft of land are under development.
