DDA Enters Social Media – Now You Can File Your Complaints Online

DDA or Delhi Development Authority has created its official Twitter handle and Facebook page on May 5 on social media. According to a DDA official, people can file complaints on these sites which are monitored on regular basis. On Twitter, you may look for ‘official_dda and “ddaofficial” on Facebook. DDA’s first tweet says, “You may get latest news and updates at www.dda.org.in.”

Residents have had a lot of complaints about lack of amenities in their neighborhoods in their Twitter handle. Most of the residents who had complaints were from Dwarka. According to a DDA official, these platforms were created as per the Union minister’s directions for urban and housing affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri. The DDA spokesperson said, “people can give their suggestions, feedback, or complaints to DDA directly.”

The agency has outsourced daily management of such accounts to the agency. The spokesperson added, “They have been offering contact details of all the heads of departments in DDA and they would talk to them. In case we need to respond to a query or tweet, the respective department will officially reply back and agency share it on social media.”
